Community
We go to local community events to help garner support for FIRST. We don’t just attend events though, we make our own. In 2020 to aid struggling families we organized a food drive all by ourselves, in which many families came to help support the communities.
FIRST
We are a pillar of our local FIRST community. Icarus Innovated has held the kickoff of the FRC season for years now, with many teams coming to join in the event. Not only this but we have also helped in the creation of various FIRST teams for younger children or children with mental disorders.
Education
We spread FIRST and the opportunities it provides at all grade levels. We frequently make visits to Midvale Elementary and Indian Hills Middle School to show off our robot and help kids get the opportunities they need. We also were invited to the state legislature where we discussed the importance of FIRST and other extracurricular activities with leaders in Utah’s governance.
